I'm just going to put this out there! For those who understand what energy is will understand. We are made up of energy, just like our thoughts. What we think about expands. If we are fearful, we attract that which we fear. I can't help but think that because we were so fearful about this election, we attracted exactly what we feared. This also goes for the things that we are currently focusing on and what we are fearing. That is why I have taken a step back. I won't allow myself to live in fear

@Spagesgallo1 Ilove that you're choosing not to live in fear. That said, the idea that by our fearful thoughts we created that which we feared is a little problematic and risks oversimplifying how larger events unfold.

After all, none of us would suggest that the fear energy among Jews in Germany during the early 1930s was responsible for bringing on the Holocaust.

@stuartblair
I knew that I was going to get pushback on this. Yet, I took the risk anyway to say what I believe in. Everyone is entitled to their thoughts and beliefs.
I'm not oversimplyfing the situation that we are facing. But energy and the power of our thoughts are indeed very powerful with manifestation. If this is something that you don't believe in or agree with, that's ok. Not everyone does. But, I stand by what I said. We can agree to disagree.

@Spagesgallo1 In the interests of keeping CoSo the wonderful place it is, I'll say I appreciate you taking the time to reply rather than simply block.

I didn't expect to change your mind. Rather, I wanted to ensure that anyone else reading the thread who may be feeling a little vulnerable right now didn't reead your point of view and blame themselves for something that is outside their sphere of control.

@stuartblair

Just to give you a simple example about how our thoughts create our reality. My nephew was fear based dreading the thought of bringing Covid-19 home and making his family, especially his sister sick. Well, a year later his worst fear became a reality. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not!
As for me, I lived in constant fear for 4 years, especially during the height of the pandemic. I was on the front lines. It took me a long time to emerge from living in fear. I choose hope not fear!

@Spagesgallo1 I may have misunderstood your point. I thought you were suggesting that the fear energy around contacting Covid may have resulted in your nephew contacting it. If you also lived in constant fear of contracting covid for 4 years, did you also contact it?

@stuartblair

THIS was my reality when I was working on the front lines! Despite my diligence with staying safe at work and after work hours, YES, I did contract Covid-19! I also developed Allergic Contact Dermatitis due to the constant use of disinfectants!
So, what are you getting at? Are you trying to prove me wrong so you can be right? Why can't you just respect my opinion? I have been
respectful of your opinion. Please don't mistake my kindness for weakness!

@Spagesgallo1 I'm trying to understand how you've formed your beliefs and to openly invite you and others reading the thread to consider whether that approach is sound or not.

If our thoughts create our reality, do you think it applies in every situation? For example, how would we explain people who never feared illness but still got sick, or those who lived in fear and never experienced what they dreaded?

@stuartblair

I have tried to help you understand. I suggest you read up about energy and how it relates to the connection between the mind and body, if you REALLY want to understand it.

If anyone else wants to share their thoughts/feelings about this subject, they are more than free to do so.

As for me, I have said my piece. Take what you want, leave what you don't.
