@XaoslordErie Nice share, thanks Eric!
Weirdly I prefer the sounds Paul & James got out of it over the Anderton's ones. I think if I'd just seen *that* in the first place I'd have written that pedal off as 'just' a Soldano metal pedal, which isn't me. 👍
I have a ton of pedals, as you see, but my fave for distortion is the Blackstar HT-Metal unit in the lower left corner. It does cleans, overdrive, and balls-out gain with a single 12AX7 (I popped a Mullard in there), and sounds amazing. The purple pedal between it and the BOSS GT-6 is a Hotone volume / wah, possibly the best I've used.
@XaoslordErie Oh nice. I was looking at those Hotone pedals for a while. I really miss the separate Volume/Wah I used to have back in the day on my Line6 controller, but since I use a Vox Wah now, can't really justify having a 2-in-1, even though they're really cool.
I'm really happy with the Hotone stuff. I have the wah and I also have one of the choruses, and I like them both better than the ones built into the GT-6. There are two things the GT-6 does really well: volume fades / swells, and acoustic guitar simulation. Apart ftom those, I can't really recommend it. Best off to but BOSS pedals one-by-one and get what you want.
