Yes. One of several reasons the political polls we hear about are most likely wrong, or at least misleading.

@sonnybillglover is because they are often conducted with small sample sizes. Polls conducted with small sample sizes can be unreliable as a small percentage of the population may not be accurately represented. Additionally, the questions asked may not have been worded in an unbiased manner, or even understood properly by those answering the poll. This can lead to inaccurate results.
