There was a considerable apple industry in that region, so no surprise that there are lots of great trees. cool.
If you are ever interested to know the parentage of your trees, there is DNA testing available now. If they are seedlings, the test may be able to tell you the variety of the parent trees. If they are old trees that were purposely planted, the test may be able to give you a definitive answer on the particular variety. The reference database is getting large.
