I keep seeing references to people leaving CoSo.
What is causing the exodus. Has the nice folks to asshole ratio gone in the wrong direction?
I'm not sure that I would characterize it as an exodus
A few folks have decided to take a break/pause, likely due to a bunch of reasons
but the recent uptick in disagreement here follows the wider context and may play a role
My wish is that people would stay and navigate using their resources rather than leave because everybody has a valued role here

@Minholkin @gshevlin Sigh. Maybe we should all make more of an effort to use hashtags in all our posts. I've been making an effort to be more consistent in using them. With the election around the corner and current global conflicts, there is sure to be an uptick in related posts. Not everyone is interested in #politics, global conflicts or controversy. Just a thought. It might help.

Using hashtags A LOT was the biggest single thing the OG CoSoNauts were telling us n00bs when I joined ~18 months ago. So, I do.
And, the more I'm here, the more sense it makes w/no algorithm to suggest posts you might specifically be interested in based in yr prior engagements. And, there's topics you might want to avoid forever (#DadJoke is in my block list) or just for a while.
YMMV, but it is another of the #tools that make all this work better.

same topic but different.... use #art on any form of art post. That tag can bring all the arts community together to support. All art forms and all art lovers....one tag
