The case law noted by the states regarding the above 👆 quote refers to other states suing the dept of commerce regarding the citizenship question on the 2020 census. For people who were already *alive & living within* the complainant states.
Seems a stretch to include not yet actualized pregnancies or births within that case law, esp since they've been steadily decreasing anyway, but IANAL 🤷♀️
@Kinnison @ExecutiveFunction404 When you think about it, forcibly impregnating children has been a Republican mantra for a while now. The number of MAGA charged with sexual crimes against children has skyrocketed and we have sitting members of our senate credibly accused of sex trafficking children. It is depraved and monstrous. The worst part of it is that these arguments are being presented as good faith arguments and as valid positions to take.
