I got a text today from an artist friend in Texas asking what I'm going to be doing on the 24th of June cause she's coming to town. 😃 I can't wait to meet her in-person!
I first saw her awesome pen & ink drawings over at ye olde bird and we connected fast. Then last March, (my bday month), she messages me and asks for my address. Huh?
Mail arrives & there's a poster tube. Open up and O-M-G! It's one of my favorites of her work! 😍

it cause it's gonna be pricey. The print is about 2 1/2 or 3 ft L and 2ft W, so it'll have to be custom framed.
On a sad note, she grew up in Farmington, NM, (3hrs from Albuquerque), where earlier this month, an 18yr old high school kid shot & killed 3 people, & wounded 6 others. Her brother knows one of the women who was killed and her sister-in-law was in the neighborhood and heard the shots. Thankfully she's ok.
What fucking senseless mess this country is in thanks to greed.
This too. Bushypoo did a bang-up job after 9/11 of convincing far too many people that we needed to be afraid of "them." Oh and don't forget to keep spending money to "help" the economy.
We fell for it. Well most of us did. Many of us were protesting outside a military base in CO Springs to stop Bush from declaring war. Got roughed up.
