@cassandra17lina When I was living in Indiana, up until 3 months ago, this was a constant problem. Very little engagement from the DNC which has kept the state stuck in a GOP majority for decades. Add on very very low voter turnout, cause what's the point when there's no Dem running against the Repub. 🤬
@cassandra17lina Shiiit. 😡 I rarely ever donate at all, except for a candidate who really needs the help. But my finances have been a wreck for over two years now, so I can't even give to a few of my fav charities.
@see_the_sus @cassandra17lina I'm in TN and I agree completely. The DNC doesn't even bother to help us so we continue to drown in Red Hell. Then we get shit for not electing democrats. We are outnumbered in this state and won't make progress until we get support.
@VenomousHeroine @cassandra17lina
I’ve been a Socialist for 20 years after realizing that 90% of Democrats and the party are content to keep things as they are. They give a lot of lip service, such as Biden promising to raise the minimum wage. And then he ends the eviction moratorium and the increase in food stamps.
@see_the_sus @cassandra17lina
Absolutely. How do you get the kind of engagement NECESSARY to make it clear that games as played before will not stand.
@see_the_sus When I lived in Texas, the DNC used the state as an ATM, shaking us down for money that didn’t get spent in Texas, only in states with “easily winnable” races. I ONLY donate to specific candidates, never a “committee.”
