@singlemaltgirl I suspect they feel like their vote is between keeping things as is or what they perceive as shaking up the system, but they don't realize voting repub isn't actually shaking up the system. It is a weird irony or something? I mean they call themselves conservatives. And addin a whole bunch of ignorance you get hate and fear, which are motivating.
@scottyorange they appear to be voting to keep things as is, tho, right? b/c voting red over & over isnt going to change things.
i keep hearing that peeps were not happy w/ the dems. but if your state never gives dems the chance, how the fuck would you know? all you've known is republican rule.
hence my confusion.

@scottyorange i think it's important to note that the worst performing states also consistently vote republican. governors, congress peeps, senators.
they never get any better. and the help they do receive tends to be from dem presidents at a federal (rather than state level). at the state level, sometimes that fed $ is refused.
so why do they keep voting as they do?
