Maybe I'm out of the loop but should I still be a bit salty about 0prah after the Hawaii thing? I know ppl who were born and raised there who have had to leave because they can't afford to live there. Not saying it's related but it feels like it. Maybe I'm overthinking it?
@igneousidol maybe I'm overthinking it but doing a lot of good in one area doesn't necessarily make up for a little bad somewhere else. Again this isn't something that would even come close to changing my vote but I feel like having her on the same stage as Harris was a bit disingenuous.i haven't watched it because of that reason. #politics
@scottyorange @igneousidol in going with the positive she gave a voice to the women in Georgia who died because of the abortion ban.
@scottyorange I think native people have been leaving Hawaii for the mainland for decades??? I could be wrong, and I do understand your point, but Oprah has done a lot for lots of children around the world...if she can donate a few million to help save democracy then good on her, compared to rich psychopaths. We don't have to love or completely hate most people...even poor and middle class people have plus and minuses in personalities
