First lawn mow of the season and my mower was struggling. I probably waited too long. Grass was high and it's a tired old mower. May need an upgrade soon. Yay, more money to spend!
@sarcasmsign My yards are overrun with weed/grass that grows extremely fast. When I fall behind (chronic pain) I am forced to move the mower height to max and mulching.
@nevikjames My dad always did the yard stuff and then when he developed Alzheimer's it became my thing. The last mower he bought was just a basic one that's not self-propelled so I have to fight with the thing to get it through the thick grass when I wait too long. I guess I can look at it as an extra workout. 😂
@sarcasmsign Oh man. That is back breaking work. Self propulsion is a must have for dealing with overgrowth.
TORO lawn mowers are pretty decently priced. Had to replace my old mower about two years ago and paid ~580'sh for a "personal pace" with easy start 22in. But you can find one without the easy start for less than $500.
@sarcasmsign half acre here. we splurged on a deere zero turn. shoulda' done it twenty years ago.
