well, shit--just heard from the county elections group:
"Thank you for reaching out. We were directed by HR policy to terminate workers from our list that had not worked in over a year. Unfortunately, you were removed from our worker list. I invite you to reapply through HR when we post the position. We generally post in the spring."
so I guess I won't be working the election this year...
Sounds like someone got told to get rid of the regular old workers since annual elections aren't a thing, so they would basically rehire every election.
You can't get off the list here unless you die.
