Still can't believe this intense level of violence happened here. NZ still has a long way to go in many areas but this sort of thing is beyond me. The equivalent in the US would be someone killing 3400 people as far as population goes. Challenging bullshit views is the only way forward from this. There is no one who lives here that isn't either directly affected or close with someone who is.

I remain in awe NZ's beauty and her stories of how wonderful people are to each other. If I've learned anything the past few days, it's how strong NZ is. How quickly PM Ardern stood up to white supremacy, comforted victims and and announced gun law changes is a model for all leaders. The viral video of the haka dance is the sign of unity we all need.
