not sure what you mean. do you claim that white people were never subjected to colonization? or that a particular person did not experience it?

he's just a person. some people or their ancestors were subjected to horrific events. others did not. he used a universal story and made a movie out of it. I hope the movie will inspire more respect to other cultures & the environment overall. am I missing something?

yes, I see it now. that is either an unsolicited opinion or a really poor wording. for what it's worth it can also be "they accepted a poor agreement and were cheated into a dead-end situation. if they knew what they would actually get, they would not accept it and fought more"
