Saw my asthma / allergy specialist this afternoon. I was hoping he would say the steroids he has me take could explain the low lymphocyte count. He doesn't think so. Specifically, he said he has given thousands of patients as much/ many steroids as I am taking and nobody's blood count fell apart. It is not even on their radar as something to watch for with my drugs - and they are watching children for stunted height when they are on my types of meds. Le sigh.

@publickovacs

The ophthalmologist who put me on eye drops that contained beta blockers, which put me into heart failure, assured me after the fact that NO ONE ever had the rare (but documented) side effect that almost killed me.
