Yesterday I got a FB friend request from someone I don't know personally, but with a lot of mutuals and shared queer advocacy. I gladly accepted. Today is and I saw that they had a post saying that for the second year running, they took items to the dump on Juneteenth and this was the start of a new tradition. Their friends put laugh emojis on the post. I put a weep emoji and "not funny". They immediately unfriended me. This is what is wrong w our town: among progressives.
