Yesterday at school I had to stay w a visually impaired 6th-grader for alternative in school detention. Was told he couldn't read. Worked on SPED packets w him, gave him breaks, shared a bit about me also having eye problems, set up mini incentives. Then he said "I want to read that" and struggled through some words. And that was a victory.
