Good morning CoSo! Starting the day w of a personal nature. I have Lily of the Valley planted in our raised flower bed. They look so innocent but they are the most invasive shits ever. They survive every fucking thing and controlling them is a huge battle. They are an inspiration and a metaphor for me because I live with anxiety and depression.

@publickovacs

I can still smell their fragrance. But you either control them or they control you. 😎

@LnzyHou
They were attempting to leave the raised flower bed. We had to remove paver stones and dig and dig and dig. Thankfully our next door neighbor and Nona by choice loves them and wanted some, so we gave the dug out ones to her.

I love love love the smell. Ours are just coming up.

We have wild lily of the valley too they are not as pretty or fragrant.

Wishing you a great day.

@publickovacs They’re one of my favorite flowers. Didn’t know they were so invasive though.

White choral bells upon a slender stalk
Lily of the valley line my garden walk
Oh don’t you wish that you could hear them ring
That will only happen when the fairies sing.

@publickovacs
this was in the Girl Scout song book, circa 1960-70's
Sang it a lot as a child.
