Good morning CoSo! In the spirit of #PointlessPersonalUpdates I wanted to let you know that today after work I am getting my cancer / remission tattoo.

Today I unlocked the accomplishment of turning 53. The #bellydance circle got a cookie cake, my love got a cake that fucking glitters and has a unicorn, and #Gandalf and #Elsa surprised me with letting #Milo hang out with them. Although everything could crumble at any moment, today my life is good.

Got home from work and got to snuggle #Milo before he bit me in the face, hyper-like 🤣

Today while at work I got my first message from #Milo. It read: jU3
@junation says he was trying to message me while he was working from home but the kitten intervened 🤣

How tiny is #Milo ? He is cuddling with #Elsa who weighs *6* pounds.

It is the first #Caturday that #Milo is spending with us and it is fair to say he is ridiculously tiny. But he is already learning to recognize @junation as a cat whisperer.

#Milo is home! He weighs 2.2 pounds, his left eye looks bad (he is being treated for cornea perforation), and he is 10 weeks old. We are going to our regular vet with him tomorrow. This is a good #Caturday eve.

I'm not crying, you're crying. I didn't get to have surgery on my partly blind left eye today. There is overcrowding at our local shelter. We ran there w @junation to pick up a male kitten. They had one with vision loss in the left eye who was rescued from a hoarding situation. We pick him up from the vet tomorrow after his neuter. Name TBD.

Thank you for the love, Loves. Deets: insurance won't allow doc the surgery scheduled for today. It is a quick, not too invasive operation. They will approve more invasive, bigger surgeries - for which I cannot do the recovery period until school is out. Big invasive surgeries are big ticket items and they are capitalist bastards.

No glaucoma surgery tomorrow - insurance won't let me. Testing and imaging on Friday to figure out WTF to do while doc files an appeal and insurance has 30 days to respond. And my optic nerve continues to die.

Coming up on 4 pm in my time zone. Still don't know if I am having surgery tomorrow, but I know that the one I am scheduled for, is not an approved benefit with my insurance. Glaucoma specialist will try to see what else he may come up with, after he is done with his surgeries today.

My next glaucoma surgery was going to be on March 28. I got sick. It got rescheduled for Apr 11 - this Thursday. Monday Apr 8 I got a call that insurance denied my surgery and my glaucoma doctor was going to do a peer to peer review Tuesday - i.e. try to convince a doctor employed by the insurance company that I need the surgery. Because my optic nerve is dying. Today is Tuesday and nobody called. No idea if I am having surgery Thursday. And I have a fucking anxiety disorder.
