It’s an awful thing to have to discuss with a teenager. You just want them to think everything’s always ok and will always be ok. It’s not and it won’t. But that doesn’t mean you have to spend your days worrying about it. Life is still for living.

@NorthernInvader I try and I think I’m doing well but is it really that hard? That’s what gets me. People man. She was telling me about other kids parents and well, grrrr. You know it but out of the mouths of babes and all that.
@process Sad state of affairs. I have to have the same talk with my son when he comes home for the holidays. He is so full of promise, hope, empathy.....just don't want to squash all that by being too gloomy.
The worry the kids have. Brought up through a pandemic, into this. I dunno, on the whole I’m really not too fond of adults.
