I am unfamiliar with this word so I answered “Never heard of it.” After looking it up, however, I notice it is something I have definitely heard of, particularly in people who may be neurodivergent.
@HopeSeeker I is a standalone condition, but definitely often occurs along side neurodivergence
@prairiecelt Mine is fairly mild, but there are certain sounds that will drive me straight up a tree. Chewing and sucking noises, and that high-pitched "EEEEEEEEEEE" that small children make. Also, the trilling sound cats make when in heat.
Pretty much, if any of those noises are happening, it takes 90% of my brain to tolerate them. They're nails on a chalkboard. It's nearly physical pain.

@prairiecelt my mom has this but I didn’t know it had a term. In her case it’s snapping gum. It irritates her to no end.
