@postal_poet I can answer that.
Probably never. As it's designed to keep A: Battery usage low B: not be annoying/addicting
But! You can push the notifications to your desktop in windows and I'm sure there's a similar option in linux.
Last option C: would be to go ahead and ask J for permissions to access the api and you could make your own version of coso and get notifications.
@MrGoat appreciate it. Thank you. 👍
@postal_poet Yeah sorry it's not what you wanted but that's the deal. it's for privacy and battery concerns. Coso doesn't wanna drain your battery or spy on you.
@MrGoat all of which I appreciate. It just feels like I'm starting all over again like I did with Twitter back in 2014 😂
@postal_poet I think if you hop on the desktop version and browse a bit it will help with the mobile version while you're out and about.
You can access CoSo through a mobile browser, it should send notifications.
I prefer a browser to the app.
If you're on Android, Kiwi browser uses Chrome extensions.

Yeah set up a PWA via browser you'll get an app like experience with push notifications
I use PWA for most sites instead of installing apps
Open CoSo up to log in screen and tap three dots top right, browser settings, then tap "add to home" you'll get a CoSo icon added to app drawer
Tap that CoSo icon log in you'll get a pop-up asking to allow notifications 😉
Thanks Eric. 🤩

FTR I don't have push notifications on via my PWA lol kinda like it that way but always nice to have the choice if needed I can toggle them on anytime
I prefer not to have push notifications for most things, and I limit apps.
Same here 👍 less distraction
For those interested in setting a PWA up and having notifications pushed you have to go to notifications column and tap column settings and toggle on what you want to he pushed only when you toggled on desktop notifications and allowed the browser via pop up will they work
@heyrhiannon @MrGoat @postal_poet
a PWA is best as it gets rid of the address bar it's like using the app only better as you can do a lot of different tricks inside a PWA you can't inside the app
Example, just one bonus using a PWA over app, highlight any text for an overlay search via PWA
@postal_poet Ah yeah that's a bit technical but you'll just have to check your notifications tab in the app when you want to see what's going on in your feed. You can sort by categories: ALL Mentions LIkes Boosts Poll Results and Follows
