πŸͺ« More than 925k customers don’t have power this morning across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi due to severe storms pushing through the area last night.

Here’s how it breaks down (as of this post):
Texas = 786,556
Louisiana = 138,737
Mississippi = 10,237

@Agatha @MyRadar I didn't know you were from around there. Was asking how Houston people are doing.

@poemblaze @MyRadar

I'm not from here, but I currently have to reside here. πŸ˜‚

The worst of the winds went from the NW (Cypress area) through downtown and out the SW (Pearland, Deer Park, etc). I'm directly north of downtown, so it was bad but not as bad as it could have been. When the electrical towers toppled in Cypress our power dropped. I've only walked around our neighborhood. It's a big mess, but I didn't see any roads closed, so that's good.

@Agatha @MyRadar Was that last night? I know someone who lives SW of Houston.

@poemblaze @MyRadar

Yeah, last night. 100mph winds went through that diagonal path. Not tornadoes - just straight nasty wind.

@Agatha @MyRadar The person I know lives in the oddly named town of East Bernard.

@poemblaze @MyRadar

The front went through there but as far as I know they didn't get the worst of it. My sister is due east of E. Bernard in Missouri City, and what she got was like what I got. So the roads are messy with tree debris but no really major damage.

@Agatha @MyRadar Thanks for the info. I texted but got no response yet.

@poemblaze @MyRadar

Cell service is patchy in some areas right now. Between direct damage and everyone who is without power relying on cell instead of wifi, they're pretty overloaded.
