My car battery was so dead this morning the trunk wouldn't even open with the key fob. So I had to crawl into the trunk from the back seat to get the charger shown below. I hadn't done anything with it in the year or two since I bought it and first charged it. Attached it to my battery and the car started right up. I was surprised. Highly recommended.
@Linwelly Yes. Having manual operation is very helpful if your electricity disappears.
@poemblaze The battery in my Buick died yesterday. Some brilliant engineer located the battery beneath the rear seat in a cramped space. May he wind up in Hell where he will be tasked with changing batteries in a Buick for eternity.
@ThisNameWasntTaken I've heard of engines (and batteries) being in the trunk, but under the back seat? Is this an electric car or something?
@poemblaze Nope. A regular internal combustion car
@ThisNameWasntTaken That's a crazy place for a battery.
@poemblaze You should have seen me trying to find the battery location when it went dead.
@ThisNameWasntTaken Utter frustration
@poemblaze the reason I love things working mechanical, things like trunk opening and window openers, shutter on the house ... (last summer there was a long blackout starting in the night, guess how many neighbours were sitting in the dark because the shutters were closed when it startet)
