My Dad's probably going to a hospital. Abdomen problems. A full examination is to be done tomorrow to determine whether there is cause for grave concern.
I guess I've come into the stage of my life when care for the elderly becomes a prominent article.
Oh, well... I love him. Here's hoping there's nothing serious going on.
@Vonzales: I'm way sorry to see this news, sir. I'm unfamiliar with cancer myself, as it hasn't been much close to my experience at this point. I do hope that your dad's docs can soon shed some light on what's going on and what options are available. The not knowing is invariably nerve-wracking, to be sure. *sending hugs*

You've got the key there. You'll do the most good for your Dad after you catch your breath, have time to think and get some perspective.
Do you have access to any counseling for yourself? Some hospitals understand that relatives are also patients, and may have someone available, or at least direct you to the right resource.
Don't know what to say but that I hope for the best possible outcome.
