@codeWhisperer I started to put that. π€£ππ€£
@nursefrombirth Honest people are more likely to swear.
People tend to believe that a person is more honest when they swear.
Unfortunately, dishonest people are capable of learning to swear.
@AskTheDevil It's usually what is implied on either side of the curse that identifies them. @nursefrombirth
What people?
Most people I know think swearing is awful and anyone who does it must be dishonest.
The question was one of correlation not causation.
@nursefrombirth I think there is a belief that swearing = bad, therefor anyone that swears must not be a good person.
Swearing is just a part of communicating. And even those who don't "swear" still swear, just with less offensive words.
"Son of a biscuit" comes to mind... the intent is there, they just lack the fortitude to use the actual word. Or there are kids nearby.
@sentientdessert So I should say: That mutha freaking butt hole is an awful son of a biscuit and be good?
@nursefrombirth Only if there are children around.
I've always been a fan of creative swearing. Combinging words that don't normally go together.
"You fuck wheel."
"Hey wank face."
Outside the usual swears.
@sentientdessert There have been reports of "studies" (term used loosely bc I dunno how well they were made) that people who swear are more honest/trustworthy than those who don't.
@nursefrombirth
Anyone who says we are is full of shit.
@nursefrombirth I was looking for "fu*king false"
