@normsmusic Can't read past the paywall, but do remember an odd video a friend recorded from Cspan at 2am of Bush Sr and Khomeini having a meeting which was seen via camera through a window across the street - what could be lip read was about hostages and work with them. Few days later Iran refused to deal with Carter making him look weak and cuasing thepolls to shift toward Regan. That recorded video I saw was never replayed on the loop of news they did back then.
