Elon's forever changed Twitter. It will never recover. it is the zeitgeist of our time. It is the product of the misguided Tea Party that metastasized into a permanent revolution of smashing our Democracy that now serves those who want to be followers & the wealthiest of society.

@normsmusic The interesting thing to me is the mass exodus of people leaving Twitter for other platforms. What I don't get is the people who continue to stay there despite disagreeing with everything that's going on. I think it's because there's no alternative that's similar to begin with. But... at some point you have to take a principled stance. Right? At least that's what I thought.

@Dogofalltrees @normsmusic eh, I ran into this with both the end of Usenet and the end of LiveJournal. There are a lot of folks who make a big noise about leaving and turn it into a sign of virtue on their part.

I--kinda take that kind of posturing in the same way that I do graphic public prayer. The real principled folks don't make a big deal about it.
