This day in 1983, Dundee United won their one and only Scottish league championship, beating local rivals Dundee F.C 2-1 at their ground, Den’s Park.
That evening I attended a Dire Straits concert in Berlin, seriously intoxicated and dressed like a Jaffa Cake.
As we celebrate this win today up at Ross County, and qualifying for European football next season, Dundee will prepare for relegation yet again.
