Remember Livejournal?

Back in the day, when blogging was a big deal, people would write whatever came to mind in a lovely, long-format way. No character limits, just prose. I feel like force-shortening people's ideas has been such a detriment to human expression. We need more words, not less.

@mPony
I still have a couple of blogs. I even remember to take a break from here to write for them now and then.
Medium has become a good venue for long(er) form writing.

@Jeber a couple? That's impressive. You're writing enough for us both :) (I've gotten out of the habit of writing / composing / corresponding.)

@mPony I was extra cringey and had a dead journal. Looking back on all that angst. Oof.

@Waldo06 hey there's nothing wrong with being cringey in the short term. Did anyone else notice? :)

@mPony probably all the ladies I was persuing who rightfully so we're not attracted.

@mPony I kinda like the short format for a lot of stuff tbh. Sometimes the blogs you find are someone just padding an idea with as many words as they can to make an article. Short form forces you to strip the idea down and really get at it's core.

I think it's made my idea creation process more succinct.
