South Korean women started the movement as a statement against traditional patriarchal norms that have existed in their country for a long time. Yes, we are under our own form of patriarchal slavery right now but it isn't the same thing so avoid unfair comparisons

What they are protesting is a rape and domestic violence culture with no means for legal redress in a Government that is misogynistic and corrupt.
