Somehow this doesn't inspire confidence, especially if you have young children or elderly family members affected. And their, "We're sorry" comes off as being a little trite as if the company is a naughty toddler caught stealing from the cookie jar, confronted and made to apologize after standing in the corner for 5 minutes.

@TheresaVermont It's not just fast food either, it's the actual hamburger you buy at the supermarket. I have heard heinous stories about processors picking ground beef off the floor and mixing it with unspoiled meat. No harm no foul as far as their concerned they just pump the product full of ammonia.
Back in the day, McD had the best fries ever. They used beef tallow because they couldn’t afford vegetable oil. What difference!
They lost their standing when they switched to vegetable oil for health reasons. Their food is no longer wonderful.
@LnzyHou @TheresaVermont Vegetable oil doesn't cook as well but hey they can at least they can say they have something vegan on the menu, except that many vegans are highly suspicious of anything that is labeled GMO which I believe the potatoes their fries come from are.
McDonalds has tried dipping their toes into plant based and veggie burgers before but are always quick to remove them from the market. They claim it's poor sales but I'm not buying that.
