Somehow this doesn't inspire confidence, especially if you have young children or elderly family members affected. And their, "We're sorry" comes off as being a little trite as if the company is a naughty toddler caught stealing from the cookie jar, confronted and made to apologize after standing in the corner for 5 minutes.
@TheresaVermont I also heard something weird years ago but I don't know if it's been proven yet. Apparently, companies like MacDonalds put something in the food to entice people's brains into wanting more of their products because their business model is designed to turn people into what they call, "heavy consumers" meaning that you're someone who patronizes them more than once a week or every once in awhile.
