Got bad medical news today. My foot doctor ordered a bone scan for my left foot on Wednesday due to an infection in my middle toe. Turns out that it is positive for a bone infection - osteomyelitis - and the tip joint (at least) is going to have to be amputated. That's scheduled for Friday, April 26th.
@cephalopie I'd say that's accurate.
@leejackson Well, I'm sorry about 🌻 the toe, but glad you'll be able to walk, and, y'know not die of bone infection, blood poisioning, that sorta thing.🌻
That's frustrating.
I know several people who have had toes amputated... I know losing the big toe makes 'em wobbly -- but middle toe might make little difference.
@leejackson Yikes! Wishing you a quick & painless treatment & recovery!!
@leejackson sorry to hear that. Hope they can prevent it from spreading. Again
@leejackson sorry to read this.
May that toe, & all of you, & all of us, be happy & peaceful; may that toe & all of you & all of us, have our ultimate well-being.
This will be my meditation, which i hope will be for your benefit.
Weird, maybe; but friendly.
@leejackson Well, hell. Sorry to hear it.
@leejackson
😢🤗
@leejackson I'm sorry. This sounds a little scary. No matter how routine and safe, it must produce some anxiety. I'm glad its scheduled soon and wish you a speedy recovery. Come on line as much as you can, we can do our best to provide distractions.
@leejackson so sorry hope you have a speedy recovery
Missed this earlier. Hoping for a speedy recovery.
@leejackson So sorry! Because it's the middle toe, not the big toe, is it accurate to say, your ability to walk will be unaffected?
