Common story: Someone comes here from over there and discovers the difference. They start to think about how social media impacts the rest of their lives. How that vitriol and hatred never stays online, how it spills over into bad feelings and short fuses and needless arguments in the real world, how it impacts them and theirs in ways they never realized.

They see that they're better here.

That's what makes this place so special. Spend some time here, and you'll see for yourself. ✌️

@kel RL drama from social media goes back to myspace and "top friends" hehe - this is wonky enough that I likely won't log in a ton, but it's also not stressful - a very positive environment. I think the sentiment meter discourages too much rage posting.

@kozad @kel you're young. Travel back farther in time... I'd say that the "drama" goes back to Prodigy and AOL. Before that, trolls had to pay through the nose (imagine $6/hour just to chat online at 300 baud!!) and they had to be at least tech savvy enough to connect a phone to a modem and configure AT codes.
