Iām 70% through Book 11 of the Wheel of Time, part of what readers call āthe Slog,ā a long period in the books where not too much happens.
But Iāve been finding Iāve been really enjoying them. There is a lot happening, things being set up for the final events of then books. Now, I havenāt finished the series yet but because the internet exists, I have a general idea of what happens, which gives what Iām reading a context, which I wouldnāt have if I hadnāt decided to spoil myself.
This is why spoilers arenāt so bad. They can give context for something in earlier in the story.
I donāt plan to reread this series again, Iāve read the first 6 books at least 4 times and thatās enough for one series.
Control what you spoil and what youāre reading can be enriched without having to worry about ruining the whole thing.
@EnochianEntropy I think my hard book was Winter's Heart, #9.
Good luck!!
@EnochianEntropy @kismatt 10 was freaking awful for me. It can be summed up in a paragraph. I've heard good things about the 11 on, but 10 killed my will for continuing.
My opinion on the series is that he needed a better editor.
@kismatt That one I get. MAN, THOUGHā¦. THAT ENDING.
