Jan 2. I got lucky with my first two words, but the stats say 15% of people aren’t getting it at all

I like to start with SHIRE, TALON, FUDGY to rule out as many of the 15 most common letters as possible, but I’ll make a guess before trying all of three of them if it looks like I’ve already narrowed it down. For Quardle I use CUBED, FILMY, SNORT, PHAGE to get the 19 commonest letters

If you did “shire, talon” it only leaves 3 possibilitites

Now today’s had me stumped quite a while. After the first two guesses, I had trouble thinking of a single word that would fit, and it turned out there was only one word that would fit. So, got it in 3, but had a long think between 2 and 3.
