Just a shot of the yarn I am using. Not a realistic color rendition, but it shows how the 4 threads vary.
@BlueStateBabe I use that yarn too! Do you use a bead to keep them together?
@kismatt @BlueStateBabe what?
@redenigma @BlueStateBabe When you use an unplied yarn that transitions (like this one does), it's a good idea to use a 6/0 bead to keep the strands together while you work with it. :D
@redenigma @BlueStateBabe I've used It's a Wrap, Hobby Lobby's Wrapsody (disco'd), Wolltraum's My Meoldyy, and Hobbii's Cotton Kings/Sultan, and it's really varied from brand to brand. It's A Wrap needed the guide bead the most, I think.
@redenigma @BlueStateBabe Joann's used to sell it in their stores, but stopped. I just bought some from the online shop, I think they're trying to clearance it out. Look for It's A Wrap Rainbow - Red Heart, 623yds/150gr.
I get most of my transition yarn from Hobbii online. They have nice sales and fast shipping from Denmark!
@redenigma @BlueStateBabe Oh, and Michael's used to carry it too (it's a wrap), but stopped a few years ago.
@kismatt @redenigma This picture was Hobbii's Cotton King/Sultan.
@kismatt @BlueStateBabe interesting, i've never seen It's a Wrap. neither Michaels or Joanns sells it here (and there's 4 Michaels & 3 Joanns i frequent). i mail order the Scheepjes Whirl from either Webs or Jimmy Bean
