Belarussian or Russian?
If Russian, it's probably conscripts with little or no training. Cannon fodder.
If Belarussian, there's a high probability of turncoats.

Belarus does it on Russia's behalf to keep Ukrainian forces from reinforcing other fronts. The Ukrainians do it because it's good training/practice before sending their troops to other fronts.
The actual attack was a swarm of 15 Iranian made Shahed 136's launched by Russia out of Belarus, six of which hit a UKR oil storage depot 80km south of Kyiv.
