I know of Lewis & Clark, they were American explorers in the 18th or 19th century, back when Louisiana was everything west of the Mississippi river.
Fun fact: in the 1960s/70s there was a rock/pop group named Lewis & Clark, who were pictured on an early album cover dressed like their namesakes, in funky pioneer clothing.

That’s Lewis & Clark — a statue removed from town because of its depiction of Sacajawea — it looks like she’s cowering behind them.
