Understanding, that the Old Testament would show a lot of respect for immigrants, since the Jews history has periods of immigration (40 years of wandering in the desert & whatnot).

How can you have empathy without respect? And be real?
@jjGravitas dunno if it’s respect, but at least empathy for others who experience oppression, racism, discrimination.
