Why did we never get rid of Dejoy as the guy running the USPS? We could do it today. Can anyone explain?

I thought Dejoy was appointed to the head-of-the USPS post by Trump, a federal level decision. Why would the governors figure into it?

He was but a president can't fire him, only the board of post office governors can vote him out.

Only the board of governors (whatever they're called) can fire him, Biden just recently got a Dem majority, not sure what's going on now. I do know one of the Dems has been on it for quite a while, what's up with that?
