Do any of you know what the physiological effects of significantly higher-than-normal air pressure are? Like 1.5+ atmospheres. I don't need a ton of detail because it's a short scene but I'd like to be accurate on how it is affecting this character.

@ianthealy Air pressure at the Dead Sea is about 6-7% higher than it is at "sea level" - the other oceans on Earth. Here is some science data: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/875697 . The word's deepest mine is about 8-9 times lower than the Dead Sea, so the effects would be even stronger there.
