😂😂
Called Daisy, or "dAIsy," the voice-based AI mimics a senior citizen to hold meandering conversations with phone scammers - In a video demonstrating Daisy, soundbites from real conversations show scammers becoming increasingly exasperated, being kept on the phone for upwards of 40 minutes, and holding out hope they will get a credit card number or bank details. The AI model that O2 made sounds very convincing—it’s doing all the processing in real-time
@ecksmc wow cool wouldnt help me though i am on minutes
@holon42 The goal of the project is to keep the scammer on the phone for as long as possible just to waste their time
That way if their on call with daisy they can't be scamming others
👍
yes, i've seen some youtube videos of people doing that, but it would be a perfect use of AI, just what it's made for 😂😂😂
@holon42 you should check out Jim Browning of the YouTube channel Tech Support Scams

Hes a master at scamming the scammers
He was also instrumental in helping dAIsy become the AI scam time waster - no doubt 02 asked him to help because of his YouTube channel he'd be a valuable source for what sorta things the AI would need to say to keep the scammer hooked
@holon42 if you watch the video, 1st post of thread, there is number in that at end
If you get a scammer calling you you then text the number the scammer calls from to that number at end in video - uk only but since it uses a text only number for reporting numbers and 02 are a uk mobile provider
