People associate obedience with intelligence which is obviously not a good indicator.

With that said, Riker has figured out how to unscrew the baby gate from the wall so he can roam the house at night and get into as much as possible including the cat food at the top of the cat tree. Don’t let him fool you. He’s not ashamed one bit.

@holon42 he has all sorts of enrichment toys and activities to do but he won’t play with them unless I’m in eye sight of him. As soon as he can’t see me it’s time to open a door and get out to shred something. 🙃

@holon42 he knows commands well. He’ll do them without issue. Laser focused for it. Learned my service dog’s commands too. But he uses it for evil. He leash trained super fast just because he hates being left behind. He absolutely knows a lot of words. I want to get one of those mats with the word buttons on it but he’d probably have an existential crisis.
