The human part of the Nuckelavee has long, sinewy arms that can reach the ground, and its head is massive, with large, bulging eyes that glow red. The head of the horse is also enormous, with a wide, gaping mouth from which it emits a foul breath capable of withering crops and killing livestock.

What makes the Nuckelavee particularly horrifying is that its body has no skin. Its flesh is exposed, revealing raw muscle, sinew, and veins.
