they never stop eating if there's anything edible available.
now that there's more wild food out there, my breakfast crowd has diminished from over two dozen to around one dozen.
and i can't tell how many chipmunks there were, now fewer too, although that reduction in numbers be due to predators like a new cat whose persistence in getting annoying.

it allows me to reduce supply more. i do it gradually to encourage foraging elsewhere as well.
i want to be supplement not supply.
and they're pretty chubby, so it's a good time to wean the little beasties.
