@holon42 That's not _exactly_ how I remember it.
it seems to me that this is an account of what occurs in utero, the baby first becomes aware of sound in the womb. heartbeat, voices, digestion, et.
then, birth, and there is light.
then the breast, and the warmth of the mother's body, love is experienced.
so, not the universe at large, but the universe as experienced, lived through, the Lifeworld.

@holon42 I mostly remember being squeezed a lot, and I do remember a flash of light, but that was from my brain being squeezed inside my soft baby head as I was born. I remember it as a fantastic blossom of light that burst on the inside, not through my eyes, inside my head.
