i was thinking that too, but no visible nipples yet. i'm watching.
he has a very effective strategy for food gathering though. i've been watching her/him and he's been watching me.
one day i was sitting outside throwing whole peanuts to them all.
he laid down a ways back propped on his elbows just watching me, for about a good 20 minutes or so.
figuring out my methods.🤣
looking at Stubby again, i don't think it's pregnancy.
i forgot that pregnant females usually show signs of having been had, a "landing strip" of missing back fur that takes awhile to grow back.
plus, as pregnancy progresses , they start removing their "jackets" to use the fur to line their nests.
the past couple years i haven't seen very many pregnant squirrels, as i did initially. i think the neighbourhood has reached capacity.
