I think there's a great argument to be made for substantially raising the top marginal income tax rates that has nothing to do with raising revenue, but rather protecting people from whatever money-borne mindworm infects the brains of people like Trump, Musk, Thiel, Ramaswamy, and so many others.
@DavidSalo I've had the opportunity to encounter two billionaires in my professional career. There's a certain glazed look in the eyes of people who surround them. Really weird.
